Chateau Pibran, Pauillac, 1996

Property of Mr Flabby Less
Chateau Pibran, Pauillac, 1996

Elegant mature pale ruby with brick colour. Medium bodied. Complex, mature and resolved nose. Interesting scents of leather, cherries, mushroom and leaves. Tastes balanced and smooth, with a mild tinge of oak and spice. Not overly fruity. Very rounded and smooth tannins. Long and lingering aftertaste.

This bottle needs about 30 mins to open up and then it's good for an hour or so. After that, it'll start to collapse.

This is the oldest wine that I've tasted todate. Such a wonderful experience!
